Do I need a webshop or something else?
This is a question many people don’t think about – or not carefully enough…
A webshop is usually not needed if we are not talking about “simple product sales”. If you only have one or two products, which are “built as one” and are successive elements of a sales funnel, chances are that a webshop in normal operation is not the right solution for you. In such cases, it is much better to use a landing page system to manage orders, where you can place an order on a form.
In many cases, however, it is MUCH EASIER to build your sales system on top of a “web store solution” – even if, for example, the shopping cart function doesn’t make sense or you just don’t want to use it. This can be a good solution if you want to not only sell, but also automatically invoice, etc. in one go – or provide access to some content.
In general, a good starting point is to have an idea for your business (product/service) and then ask a good marketer for specific advice on this: they may even be able to help you write your business/marketing strategy plan. The latter will also give you the answer to the question of what will be the best solution for your online marketing system in the short, long and medium term…
